An itinerant meal lasting about three hours to discover the many nuances of the Gourmet Pintxos tour in San Sebastian: this includes gildas, ham tasting and a selection of pintxos. If you want to discover all the secrets and curiosities of San Sebastian's gastronomic tradition, join our Gourmet Pintxos tour and become a true expert on San Sebastian's cuisine! Here's a list of the possible tastings:
- Let's dive into the "ir de pintxos" concept and taste a selection of the best pintxos from the historical bars in the old town! Among them you'll taste the not-to-be-missed gildas: the first pintxo ever invented. We do not want to spoil the others. Are you curious? Join our tour!
- Tour of the Historic market of San Sebastian - For the Basque, the quality of the product is the most important aspect, so we look for local, seasonaland fresh ingredients. That’s why the food markets are essential. Subjected to an intense transformation process, the Bretxa market is, undoubtedly, one of the mostemblematic places in the Old Town of San Sebastian. A must-see!
- Basque cheesecake! A true symbol of the Basque Country. This cheesecake is very different to American cheesecake. It is very creamy, almost like custard and it is burnt on the outside, which adds a bit of caramel flavour to it.
- We'll be pairing traditional Basque wine and liquors to the pintxos, such as txakoli wine, red wine from Rioja and the most typical Basque sloe berry liquor.
